Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the arrival of Australian and New Zealand soldiers on Gallipoli on April 25, 1915 – the word Anzac is an acronym for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.
Anzac Day commemorates the sacrifices that Australians have made in the name of their country, and is among the most important dates on the calendar.
