Social media marketing is one of the fastest-growing markets worldwide, putting you at the forefront of the global social media revolution.

Our course will teach you how to become a social media expert and how to successfully develop and implement a social media marketing strategy and implementation plan on numerous social media networks. It will enable you to create and build your own social media marketing portfolio and personal brand to showcase to future employers.

Entry Requirements:

International students must be at least 18 years of age and need to demonstrate English language proficiency at IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. It is required that students have obtained a minimum of an Australian Higher School Certificate or equivalent.

Course Duration:

52 weeks; 36 weeks of tuition and up to 16 break weeks.

Pathways for further study:

A person who has successfully completed imported training package units of competency as part of the qualification may seek credit towards a nationally recognised qualification that includes these units as either core or elective units.

Students who successfully complete the qualification may wish to further their academic career and enrol in Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Degree level qualifications in areas such as Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising or Media and Communications.

NAT10904004 – Establish, build and leverage a personal brand on social media
NAT10904005 – Plan, implement and manage social media conversion strategies
SIRXMKT006 – Develop a social media strategy

Recognition of prior learning

Business Institute of Australia (BIA) supports the national policy of recognition of qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTO). An application can be made for RPL/CT when the student believes that they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies elsewhere. An RPL application form is available upon request. The student will be required to provide documentation to support their application. Successful RPL/CT may result in the reduction of the course duration applied for.

Training and assessment

Depending on the mode of delivery and student cohort (onshore international, onshore domestic or offshore international) this course is delivered in a combination of classroom and online learning, or entirely online and contains practical sessions, research, and project work. Students are required to attend scheduled classes, study online, and complement their studies with self-paced learning in their own time.
